Finch Therapy is a protocol which detects subtle differences between the left and right sides of the body. Such differences will identify muscles that are not activating as normal. The treatment is a highly focused yet simple set of exercises. The combination of exercises used will vary from client to client depending on what is found in the assessment.
Cupping is a form of soft tissue therapy in which plastic suction cups or glass cups are used to create a vacuum. The vacuum effect creates suction that softens tissues reducing restrictive and painful fascial adhesions commonly found from repetitive movement originating from sports and the workplace.
Remedial massage is an assessment and treatment of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues of the body to assist in pain and injury management. The treatment may involve deep tissue work, stretches, release exercises or more likely a combination of all of them. Remedial massage is even more effective when combined with Finch Therapy because an initial Finch session will lessen muscle spasm and allow for improved relaxation of muscle groups during a massage session.
It does not matter if you are a weekend warrior or an elite sportsperson. Sports Massage can enhance athletic performance, help with recovery, rehabilitation and help you train harder.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper muscle tissue and fascia to release chronic patterns of tension in the body. Deep tissue massage is mostly used as part of an integrated remedial massage treatment that may include relaxation techniques, exercises, and postural work to undo chronic muscle tension built up over a lifetime. This is best achieved with a regular program of massage.
Chapman’s Reflexes are a set of neuro-lymphatic points located in different regions of the body. Each set of neuro-lymphatic points correlates to specific areas of the musculo-skeletal system. During a treatment muscle strength and length are assessed to determine which neuro-lymphatic points need to be stimulated. Activation of these points aids the body in maximising the strength, length, power, flexibility and endurance of the musculo-skeletal system.
